Selamat Hari Raya Aidilfitri 2011

Hello everyone, finally the fasting month is almost over and Hari Raya is around the corner. For my Muslim readers, how is your fasting month? is it great? or is it the same as mine? If you don't know what I mean, you can always read my post about pregnancy and ramadhan

This ramadhan, I only managed to fasting for almost 12 days only. I know I am fasting like a kid but what can I do. I used to do the complementary ibadah which referred to the six days fast in the month of Syawal or would be easy to say it 'Puasa 6' in Malay, hehe.

This year, I don't know if I would be able to do the Puasa 6 again because I have so many fasting days that I missed and have to make out. I also have to add my weight as when I went to the clinic for the first time, my weight is 60.6 kg, and now it's already down to 59 kg (written in red).
For some, it can be a good news but for a pregnant woman, it wasn't!! That's why it's written in red, uhuk uhuk. Thanks but no thanks to my nausea and vomiting problem, now I have to eat as much as I can so I can gain weight again before my next appointment (will talk more about it in my next post).

Well, enough with the mumbling, let's direct to the point then. Selamat Hari Raya Aidilfitri 2011 to all my Muslim readers, please forgive me if I had said something bad or sensitive issue that can hurt your feeling. To my non - Muslim readers, enjoy your holiday friends, :). Do take care and drive carefully wherever you go.

Pregnancy fashion

Last week, hubby and I went out to buy for some maternity dresses. I know it's still too early to buy for it because I am only 13 weeks right now, still too small to wear the maternity dress haha, but hubby insisted me to do it, so why not.

To be honest, we have been looking in so many places for the maternity dresses and couldn't find any, when we finally found one, the price is 'oh my God'. It is RM179 per dress and I bought two, huhu. The dresses are fine and is comfortable to wear but is all the maternity dress is expensive like that?
The salesgirl said that the dresses is the latest pregnancy fashion but how should I know if it is true or not as never in my life before I'm buying any of that dress?
Couldn't imagine my mom bought dresses like that..huhuhu, any of you have any idea of where to find some fine yet cheaper maternity dresses? Please, don't tell me that such cheaper maternity dresses are not exist, uhuk uhuk..I think RM179 is too much...

The clinic

The first time I went to clinic to check my pregnancy, I didn't bring anything, hehe so when I want to register and the nurse asked for our married certificate, we were surprised. Fortunately for us that our house isn't so far from the clinic, so hubby went home to take it.
After the  registration, the nurse asked me to fill up our information and asked me when was my last period, so I told her and she start to calculate. Short after, she looked at me and said ' you are only 5 weeks pregnant, still too early to check, do come again later' and she gave me the exact date when to come there again.

Hubby and I laughed out loud after leaving the clinic, even the nurse said ' it's normal to get excited as this is your first child'. In fact, my hubby had asked her cousin who worked as a nurse in a hospital and she told us to go to the clinic as soon as possible because if we don't, the nurse will get angry.

Come the date that the nurse said, we went to the clinic again as early as 7.30 a.m, hahaha and the clinic still not opened that time. We have to wait inside our car for almost half an hour before the door was opened. The first thing I have to do is answering a set of questions about my self and my family history and defining my weigh, then the nurse asked me to pee and go to the next room where the other nurse took my blood to check for HIV, type of blood and the concentration of my blood. (Will explain more about it later).

After that, I went to the next room where the other nurse checked my breast (checking for the sign of cancer), and she explained about the good of breastfeeding to our baby. She also taught me what kind of food that is good for blood and a little about folic acid. Then, she asked me to take the vitamin in the pharmacy counter and that's all, hehe.

Pregnancy gift

You know that I love pink colour right? but, that is not the reason I choose Mariah Carey's Luscious Pink as my pregnancy gift. In fact, I don't know why I choose that perfume, (as I am sure, most of you know that Elizabeth Arden offered lots of  perfumes) maybe because of the combination of the bottle and the colour (I like butterfly). But, I love the smell, nice and soft, hehehe.
At first, buying a perfume for me is not in the list. It's hubby who need one, but than I got jealous and want one for myself too, hehe, and when the salesgirl asked whether  it's a gift or not, that's when hubby said to me 'consider it as a pregnancy gift'.

I have to wait almost half an hour in the counter for the perfume to be pack neat and nicely, hahaha. Hubby said ' why you don't tell her no need to pack it like that?' and I said 'that is a  gift so it has to be packed nicely and pretty' hahaha. I think the price is around RM290, forgot already, hihihi. Oh, and they give me a silver bag and a lip gloss too for free.
Want to know  some about this perfume called Mariah Carey's Luscious Pink? well, that perfume is define as ethereal, magical and feminine.

1. Top notes - Sparkling
A sheer, flirty blend of Silican Bergamot and Ocean Breeze Accord is melded with breezy floral notes and accented with a hint of  Bellini Accord.

2. Mid notes - Feminine
Inviting and alluring, the soft essence of Pink Peony is captured in the delicate heart of the fragrance. Wrapped in its beauty, dewy Tiare Petals and Lily of the valley.

3. Base notes - Sensual
A rich blend of bright blond woods and creamy sandalwood create a unique combination of Sun-Kissed Woods. Wrapped in sultry White Musk, the base reveals sensual warmth and long lasting depth.

Anywhere, this pregnancy gift is unplanned, but I still want to thanks my hubby for the gift. This pregnancy is actually a gift for his birthday, as he once told me 'no need to buy me anything for my birthday, a baby is more than enough'.

I keep seeing things

I don't know why but last night, I think I keep seeing things and it's scared me very much. Right before I want to sleep, I keep seeing something that look like a black thing or a shadow in the corner of my eyes.

Just imagine how I felt that time...and my hands keep touching my stomach or should I called it 'baby'?, with a hope that nothing bad will happen.

In the morning, around 5.00 am, I was surprised to see there's something in the door that almost look like in the picture under (or should we call it portiere?) but it was more like a plant or something and of course was also in black.
Picture: credit to Google
I almost think that it was real and a bit excited, because it look so beautiful as the thing was not only in the door but almost surrounding the whole room, but then I was terrified when I remember that there wasn't any sign of it before I went to sleep.

Its scared me but in the same time, I was confuse, how on earth I could see such nonsense thing in this Holy month of Ramadan? Or was it only a dream? But, I am pretty sure I was awake at that time, huhuhuh.

Transgender and transsexual

Been read so many comments and story in the news about the transgender and transsexual and I know I don't have the right to make any comment on these matter as I am not an expert in religion, in fact I don't even know how to read in Jawi or Arab. I also don't have any siblings or relatives who facing this problem, but I do have some friends who facing with this problem. You can read my old post about them in my post entitled : Thank you to my best friend.
Let's start by the meaning of that two words. Transgender means appearing as, wishing to be considered as or having undergone surgery to become a member of the opposite sex while transsexual means one who wishes to be considered by society as a member of the opposite sex or one who has undergone a sex change.

Well, in my best friends case, they only appear as a woman in certain things like the way that they walk, talk or eating while in clothing, they still look like a man. You might think that they are 'lelaki lembut' and still able to marry a woman, but no. They don't have any heart or feeling towards woman and that is why I feel safe with them.

I still remember when Hamid @ Hamidah told me '' I know something inside me want to get out, but not getting married while I have the ability to is a big sin already, I don't want to add it with any stupid action like undergoing a sex change or take a hormone pill like my other friends. I don't want to lie to myself by getting married to stop the bad talking from the old folks while in fact, I don't have any feeling towards woman. I am willing to live like this until the end of my life but getting my sex change is a big no as I don't want my body and soul rejected (tidak diterima bumi) when I died.''

He also once told me ''no matter how beautiful we are and no matter how ugly women are  but nobody can change the fact that we still cannot get pregnant. That is why I never feel jealous when the boy that I like has girlfriend. But I do feel jealous when the boy choose another transgender like me''.

Just sharing what my friend said. I'm glad though that he still hold his religion tightly and not following his emotion only. May God bless  his life, :D

Pregnancy and ramadan

Ramadhan this year is for sure is not the best one in  my life. There's a big difference between Ramadhan last year and now and you will know what I mean if you are pregnant in an early stage during Ramadhan with all the nausea and vomiting problem.
Vomiting is something that I really cannot stand. Every time I vomit, feels like all of my energy has been taken away and of course I cannot fasting when vomiting become my good friend (and I'd been dreaming that I could fasting 30 days without fail, huhuhu).

There isn't any wrong with pregnancy and Ramadhan and you can still fasting even if you are pregnant. But for under 12 weeks or below 35 weeks, you have to asked your doctor if you are strong enough to fasting. The nurse said, I am fine and can fasting if not because  of the vomiting problem (sad again).

I hate vomiting but having read that vomiting is one of the sign that shows our pregnancy is strong and not in the risk of miscarriage, is somehow make me relieve. I don't know if it is true or not tough, hehehe. What do you think about it? Care to share some of your fasting experience while pregnant?

Last but not least, Happy Ramadhan everyone, hopefully this Ramadhan will bring joy to all of you.
