Baby development during pregnancy

Once you are pregnant, I am pretty sure that you really want to know what is happening inside and how your baby development during pregnancy are  and what your baby looks like inside. Since the pregnancy stage is calculated from the first day of our last period, we are considered as 2 weeks pregnant when fertilization occurs. 2 weeks : Your baby is just a little ball of cells.

3 weeks : Your baby is just a tiny ball of cells that are multiplying madly. By this time, you can have a pregnancy test for a positive result.

4 weeks : Your baby is just the size of a poppy seed. 

5 weeks : Your baby is the same size  of a sesame seed. 

6 weeks : Major development, where the nose, mouth and ears are starting to have a shape. Your baby size the same as the size of a lentil.

7 weeks : Arms, legs, hands and feet are emerging. By this time, your baby is the about the size of a blueberry.

8 weeks : Your baby is about the size of a kidney bean. By this time, fingers, toes and eyelids are developed, but you still cannot determine the gender yet.

9 weeks : Your baby is about the size of a grape. Eyes are fully formed by this stage.

10 weeks : Your baby is about the size of a kumquat. Your baby has now completed the most critical portion of development. This is the time to go to 'Klinik Ibu dan anak' @ Mother and child clinic to register about your pregnancy.

11 weeks : Your baby is the size of a fig and is almost fully formed. 

12 weeks : Your baby is the size of a lime. 

13 weeks : Your baby is almost the same size of a medium shrimp. Fingerprints have formed. This is the last week of your trimester and the risk of miscarriage is much lower now.

14 weeks : Your baby is about the size of a lemon. 

15 weeks : Your baby size now is the same as the size of an apple. You can now be able to find out the gender of your baby.

16 weeks : The baby is the size of an avocado.You can now feel the movement of your baby.

17 weeks : Your baby weighs 5 ounces now and it is the same as the weight of a turnip.

18 weeks : Your baby is about the length of a bell pepper. From now on, it is recommended for you to lie down on your side.

19 weeks : Your baby is about the size of a large heirloom tomato.

20 weeks : Your baby is about the length of a banana.

21 weeks : Your baby now is the same length of a carrot. 

22 weeks : Your baby now is the same length of a spaghetti squash and starting to look as a miniature newborn. 

23 weeks : Your baby now is about the size of  a large mango. 

24 weeks : Baby is the size of an ear of corn. 

25 weeks : Your baby weighs as much as a rutabaga.

26 weeks : Your baby now is as long as an English hothouse cucumber.

27 weeks : Your baby weighs almost like  a head of cauliflower. 

28 weeks : Your baby weighs as much as a Chinese cabbage. This is the starting of your final trimester.

29 weeks : Your baby is as big as a butternut squash weight wise.

30 weeks : Baby weights as much as a large cabbage. 

31 weeks : Baby weights as much as four oranges.

32 weeks : Baby weights as much as a jicama.

33 weeks : Your baby weights as much as a pineapple. 

34 weeks : Your baby weights as much as a cantaloupe. 

35 weeks : Your baby weights as much as a honeydew melon. 

36 weeks : Baby is the size of a crenshaw melon and most likely the baby is in a head down position now. 

37 weeks : Baby is as long as a stalk of Swiss chard and is considered as full term.

38 weeks : Baby is as long as a leek.

39 weeks : Baby weights as much as a mini watermelon. 

40 weeks : Baby weights as much as a small pumpkin.This is where your due date is supposed to be and if you are still not giving birth, don't worry, you still have a couple of weeks before you are considered  as a post-term. 

41 weeks to 42 weeks : 42 weeks is the maximum, doctor will inducing labor by that time, for the sake of you and your baby.

It is amazing to see the development of your baby, isn't it? Being pregnant is really such a sweet feeling. Even the morning sickness, losing your appetite and all of the early pregnancy signs are not a great feeling but you will appreciate it if you really know what is the connection of that morning sickness and miscarriage.  Don't worry, I will explain about it later in my next post.

wow!! it feels like it's a great thing having all those fruits changing inside your tummy..i wanna get preggy too! i'll ask my hon if i can do the honors of carrying our quads in my..in my tummy..can't wait to have blue berries, avocado, shrimps..*thinking*
