DLS: Fruits at Tamu

Its Dusun Language Saturday (DLS). Every week on Saturday, I will share one situation and translate them to Dusun language. Today theme will be Fruits at Tamu. Why do I am sharing my ethnic language? I am not very good in my language because we don't speak any Dusun at home. Most of the time, we speak Malay. Sharing my language, hopefully will help me improve my Dusun vocabulary. My parents and friends will be my references. There is no dictionary for Dusun language yet. I am not sure if Kadazan already have a dictionary but there are many newspaper in kadazan. If I mistakenly do a wrong translation, please do correct me.

This what I like about Sabah. While there are many races and religions here, many people speaks the same language the BM (Sabah BM la of course :D). It makes more 1Malaysia to me. My family also had Jawa and Bugis connection but me too like you Zezebel tak boleh cakap Jawa.. he he. Tahu sikit2 la. While we try to retain some of our ancestors' identity, we should try make all races more closer to each other - that is by using the same language, wear national clothes, go to the same school, etc. I hate Tourism Malaysia ads - Malaysia truly Asia. Why can't Malaysia just truly Malaysia. :D

Zezebel said...

MK : Ya, ada juga perkataan BM yang di tiru bulat bulat hehe kalau buat ayat tu, boleh kot, tapi kita belajar yang senang senang dulu la ah...

Zezebel said...

Didz : hehe, kalau tak buat post pasal fruits ni, sampai ke tua la kita tak tahu there is a similarity in our language kan?

Zezebel said...

GB : Tak susah walaupun tak tahu dusun. Kebanyakan penjual tahu berbahasa melayu. Tapi kalau tahu dusun tu, 1 bonus sebab ada kemungkinan dapat diskaun haha..

Zezebel said...

Ismail : I like the 'Malaysia Truly Malaysia' idea hehe. Di sini bahasa Sabah semua orang faham, di guna pakai oleh semua suku kaum di Sabah kan? It make things easier because I don't have to learn their langauage to be their friend hehe..

Haa..betul betul betul! (*pinjam skrip Upin Ipin jap*) :D hehe

Zezebel said...

Didz : Haha... Terus teringatkan suara Upin yang comel tu..
